District Profile
The Harris County Road Improvement District No. 1 is located in southeast Harris County, approximately 16 miles from Houston’s central business district. The District is wholly within the exclusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston (the “City”). The District is approximately 10 miles north of the Johnson Space Center and within Clear Brook City MUD. The District presently includes approximately 180 acres. The District is located at the intersection of Beamer Road and Dixie Farm Road. The District is bounded by San Jacinto Community College to the north and northwest, generally by Dixie Farm Road to the southeast, and Beamer Road to the southwest. The District is immediately accessible via Beltway 8 and Blackhawk Boulevard and Interstate Highway 45 (Gulf Freeway) and Scarsdale Boulevard. The District is located within the Clear Creek Independent School District. The south campus of The San Jacinto College District is adjacent to the District.

Board Members
The District is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of five (5) Board members. Each of the currently serving Directors were either appointed by statute or duly elected to their initial term. All now continue to serve pursuant to the Texas Constitution, which allows Directors to continue their service until a qualified successor is appointed or elected. The District’s current Board members are as follows:
